Quick answer
Noble Travel is a Sydney-based travel agency that specialises in Egypt. We design private, tailor-made Egypt tours for Sydneysiders, with one-stop flights from Sydney via Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi (about 21–26 hours in total), private Egyptologist guides, a Nile cruise or dahabiya, and a quote in Australian dollars.
Why book your Egypt trip with a Sydney-based specialist?
Our office is in Sydney, so you plan with a specialist on your own time zone, and pay and are protected under Australian consumer law. Noble Travel was founded by Maha Maurice, who was born in Cairo, has more than 30 years in travel, and still plans every itinerary personally.
Because Egypt is all we do, we can match you with the right Nile boat, the right hotel in Giza or Luxor and the right Egyptologist guide, and sequence each day so you reach the big sites before the heat and the coach groups. Every journey is private: your own guide, your own driver and your own dates.
How do you fly from Sydney to Egypt?
There are no direct flights from Sydney to Egypt; the most convenient option is a one-stop flight via a Gulf hub into Cairo International Airport (CAI), taking about 21–26 hours in total.
- Sydney to the Gulf: about 14–15 hours to Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi.
- Connection: usually 2–4 hours.
- Gulf to Cairo: about 3.5–4 hours.
At the time of writing, Emirates (via Dubai), Qatar Airways (via Doha) and Etihad (via Abu Dhabi) all fly from Sydney with onward connections to Cairo. Routes and schedules change, so we check the current options when we quote. Read our full guide to flights from Australia to Egypt.
When should Sydneysiders travel to Egypt?
October to April is the best time to visit Egypt, which lines up neatly with the NSW spring school holidays, the Christmas and January summer break, and Easter. Those holiday periods are also when fares from Sydney are highest, so book flights 6–9 months ahead for December and January.
For the best balance of weather, crowds and price, look at late October, November, February and March. See the month-by-month guide for temperatures in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan.
Which Egypt tour suits a first trip from Sydney?
For a first visit, 10–12 days is the sweet spot: three nights in Cairo for the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, a 3–4 night Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan, and a day at Abu Simbel. Our Classic Egypt & Nile Cruise does exactly that.
- Short on leave? Essential Egypt in 8 days.
- Celebrating? Luxury Egypt or the Egypt honeymoon.
- Want the beach too? Egypt & the Red Sea.
- Heading to Europe anyway? Add a 4-day Cairo stopover.
What does a trip to Egypt from Sydney cost?
The cost of an Egypt trip from Sydney depends mainly on three things: the season and cabin of your flights, the standard of your hotels and Nile boat, and the length of the trip. We give you an itemised quote in Australian dollars, with no hidden extras. Indicative ranges for flights, hotels, cruises, guides and tipping are in our Egypt trip cost guide.
